SP K Builder Cheat Sheet Legend
PA (Plate Appearances) - Includes any instance where a batter steps into the batter's box and has an opportunity to receive pitches from the pitcher. A plate appearance is recorded even if the batter doesn't swing at any pitches or make contact with the ball.
K's - A strikeout occurs when a pitcher throws any combination of three swinging or looking strikes to a hitter. (A foul ball counts as a strike, but it cannot be the third and final strike of the at-bat. A foul tip, which is caught by the catcher, is considered a third strike.)
GS - Indicates the number of times a pitcher begins the game on the pitcher's moun
K% - Statistic used to measure the percentage of batters a pitcher strikes out relative to the total batters faced. The MLB average is 23.1%.
Stuff+ - An advanced metric that combines multiple factors related to a pitcher's repertoire, pitch characteristics, and performance to provide an overall assessment of their effectiveness. The MLB average is 100.
